Grebaštica keeps a lower profile than most of the villages on the Šibenik riviera, built around a bay that mixes sand and fine pebble in a way that's genuinely rare on this stretch of coast: most of Dalmatia is shingle and rock, so a soft-bottomed beach draws a steady but never overwhelming trickle of regulars rather than day-trip crowds. The village itself is small: a handful of konoba restaurants, a row of holiday houses set back from the water, and little in the way of nightlife, which is precisely the appeal for visitors looking for a quiet base within easy striking distance of Šibenik and the Krka waterfalls. The shallow, gently shelving bay makes it a reliable choice for families with young children, and the surrounding pine cover gives most of the beachfront useful shade through the hottest part of the day, something not every beach on this coast can offer. Much of the land behind the village is still worked as smallholdings, olive groves mixed with vegetable plots and the occasional vineyard, and it's common to see local produce sold informally at the roadside stalls that appear through the summer months. Development along this part of the riviera has stayed modest by design, with local planning rules keeping new building low-rise and set back from the water, which has preserved a coastline that feels distinctly less commercial than the busier resorts either side of it.

Šibenik's old town, cathedral and riverside fortress are a short drive away, and Krka National Park's waterfalls make an easy day trip from a Grebaštica base. Along the coast, Ražanj and Marina Frapa Rogoznica are both within easy reach for a change of scene, and both are available as their own fixed-price transfers if you're moving on rather than staying put. The nearby village of Bilo, sharing much of the same stretch of coastline, has a couple of additional small restaurants worth knowing about if Grebaštica's own limited options don't cover every evening of a longer stay. Vodice, with a livelier marina and more choice of shops and bars, is also within easy day-trip distance for anyone wanting a change of pace mid-holiday, and its long beach promenade makes a pleasant contrast to Grebaštica's quieter shoreline.
