Outside the height of summer this is one of the quieter roads on the whole itinerary, with long stretches where you'll see more olive terraces than oncoming traffic.

Ražanj is built almost entirely from the pale local stone, its houses stepping down toward two small harbours on either side of the peninsula's neck. Fishing is still a visible part of daily life here, nets drying on the quay, small boats coming in early, and the village has stayed largely free of the larger hotel developments found further along this stretch of coast. Divers know Ražanj for the wreck of a WWII vessel a short boat ride offshore, one of the more accessible technical dives on this part of the Adriatic, and the pebble coves either side of the village stay quiet even in peak season simply because there's no direct signage pulling day-trippers off the main road. The peninsula's exposed position means both harbours catch a useful afternoon breeze in summer, popular with the handful of small sailing dinghies that use the village as a base, and the walk out to the peninsula's tip offers open sea views back toward the Kornati islands on a clear day. Local families have fished this stretch of coast for generations, and the small catch still supplies the one or two konoba restaurants in the village directly, which means the fish on your plate here has often come from the water just outside rather than a wholesale market. The pace of life shifts noticeably slower than in Šibenik or Rogoznica just a short drive away, something regular visitors tend to mention as the main reason they keep coming back rather than trading up to a busier base.

Marina Frapa in Rogoznica is a short drive south, a natural pairing if you're arriving by air to join a charter. Grebaštica's quieter bay sits just up the coast in the other direction, and Šibenik's old town and cathedral are within easy reach for a half-day out during a longer stay in the area. The Kornati archipelago, one of the most striking island groups on the Adriatic, is most easily reached by boat trips organised from Šibenik or Rogoznica rather than from Ražanj directly, but it's worth planning for if diving or sailing brought you to this part of the coast in the first place. Closer to the village, a handful of small coves beyond the main harbour are reachable on foot and rarely visited even by locals staying nearby.
